Order and cleanliness are our assets. As an experienced building antiques dealer, Jan Corvelyn also searches for rare types of wood. Renovation is only the first step in the manufacturing process. In the first place, the raw material has to be manually sorted and sawn.
In order to obtain perfect stability later on, all this wood is dried in our own ovens.

After sawing, planing, sanding or brushing, these exclusive floors are decently packed and stored in our heated storage room.
Process from destruction to storage
Corvelyn attaches great importance to the dryness of its wooden plank floors: the old wood is always dried in special vacuum driers to guarantee a perfect installation. Afterwards, all floor boards are inspected, brushed and fitted with a new tooth and groove to ensure that all parts fit together perfectly. Besides solid wooden plank floors, Corvelyn is also specialised in high-quality multilayer oak wooden plank floors that are up to 40 cm wide and 7 m long. Furthermore, Corvelyn manufactures doors in metal frames with pivots; these are executed in any type of floor board. Corvelyn not only realises numerous projects within the country, but has also built up a strong reputation abroad.
The ageing of oak is a true specialty of Corvelyn. By ageing the floor boards after installation, the wooden plank floor is prevented from yellowing due to UV light. By regularly maintaining this floor with a vegetal soap, it becomes more and more beautiful over the years. Even beamed ceilings, stairs and furniture can be aged by Corvelyn to provide all oak in the house with the same tint and in this way create calmness.
